Muang Thong face a do-or-die battle against Cebu
Former Thai League 1 champions Muang Thong United and Dynamic Herb Cebu of the Philippines clash in an AFC Champions League Two Group H game in which both sides can't afford to drop points.
Muang Thong are in third place in the group with only one point from a loss and a draw. Cebu are without any points so far.
Gunning for victory is the only option available to both Muang Thong and Cebu in the match, which will kick off at 7pm at Bangkok's Rajamangala National Stadium.
The Kirins had a disastrous start to the tournament as they were hammered 4-1 by Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in an away game in Jeonju.
Muang Thong were forced to rally for a 1-1 draw against Selangor of Malaysia last week at Rajamangala National Stadium for their first and only point of the tournament so far.
The group is led by Jeonbuk Hyundai, who have won both of their games. They are followed by Selangor with four points.
The top sides in Group H also face off Wednesday night when Selangor host Jeonbuk.
Bangkok United and Port are the other Thai clubs in the ACL Two. They will be in action on Thursday.
Rayong dragged themselves out of the three-team Thai League 1 relegation zone with an impressive 3-1 home victory over Nongbua Pitchaya on Monday night.
The result gave Rayong a major boost as they clawed their way up to the 13th spot from the foot of the table.
Rayong had a lucky break in the 14th minute when an Arthit Budjinda shot was cleared by Nongbua goalkeeper Kittikun Jamsuwan only to see the ball deflected back into the net by defender Jorge Fellipe.
The hosts struck again seven minutes later through Hiromichi Katano before Ryoma Ito made it 3-0 for Rayong two minutes before the break. Jorge Fellipe netted Nongbua's only goal in the first-half injury time.
